About

What is Tower Hamlets Involvement Network (THINk)?

  • THINk is the Local Involvement Network, or LINk, for Tower Hamlets. A LINk has been set up in every area of England to help people influence or change the way their local NHS and social care services are delivered.
  • THINK will give local people ways of getting involved and influencing service, design, review and development of health and social care services.
  • THINk is independent of the Local Authority and the NHS and can comment on all health and social care including local hospitals, GPs, care homes, and pharmacies.
  • THINks remit is all health and social care services including local hospitals, GPs, care homes, and pharmacists.
  • THINk is managed by a steering group of 20 members and key stakeholders.
  • THINk members are individuals, groups and organisations from across Tower Hamlets.
  • THINK is hosted by Urban Inclusion Community (www.urbaninclusion.co.uk).

What will THINk do for me?

THINk will:

  • Ask Tower Hamlets people what they need from their services and will provide lots of ways for people to give their views
  • Visit services to get the views of the people who use them
  • Feed those views to the people and groups in Tower Hamlets in charge of services
  • Have the power to refer the public’s issues to Health Scrutiny Panel, the Health Commission, Commission for Social Care Inspection, and the Mental health Act Commission
