We will be holding our Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Tuesday 12^th June, 1.30-4.30pm at the Ecology Pavilion (Mile End Park).

We will upload the AGM Flyer and the Agenda for the meeting in a few weeks time.

Proposed merger of Barts and The London, Newham and Whipps Cross

As you may be aware, there is a proposal to merge Barts and The London NHS Trust, Newham University Hospital NHS Trust and Whipps Cross University Hospital NHS Trust. Clinicians believe that as a new trust, Barts Health will be able to provide higher standards of care for patients and the local community, and that as a single organisation we would have more resilient frontline services, increase our efficiency and enhance patient experience.

It is very important to us that our patients, partners and the local community have the opportunity to help shape the new organisation. In addition to working closely with local commissioners, other health and social care partners and the local community to develop our plans, we would like to hear patient, carer and public views on the quality and safety of healthcare in our hospitals so we can continue to improve the quality of care we provide as we progress forward into a single organisation.

This is your opportunity to contribute your views. Feedback will be reflected (should the merger go ahead) in the new organisations Quality Account – an annual report which sets out how well the trust has met patients’ expectations about the care and services it has delivered, what it has learnt from patient feedback and its plans and priorities for quality improvement in the year to come.

Rate Our Service

THINk has just launched a simple way for you to rate heath and care providers in Tower Hamlets. All you have to do is click on the banner that says ‘Rate Our Service’, find the service you’ve used recently and then click on the stars to rate the service against ten very short questions. It only takes a couple of minutes.

You can see the average ratings for each service so you can use other peoples experience to help you to make your own choices. Your ratings will also help us to make sure that poor services are improved more quickly or money is shifted to services that people use most and like best.

It covers a whole range of health and social care services including GPs, dentists, hospitals, opticians, pharmacies, day centres and homecare.

If you don’t have access to the website we will soon be launching rating cards in pharmacies and GP surgeries throughout the borough and you can always give us a call on 020 8223 8922 and we’ll take your rating directly.

Rate Our Service is completely anonymous and we never pass personal information on to the people providing the service.

Please help us out and encourage all your friends and neighbours to do the same!!
